About This Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Regional Refurbishment Manager to oversee the delivery of restoration and refurbishment projects across various locations. Reporting to the National Refurbishment Director, your primary objective is to create exceptional living spaces for residents through unit and apartment refurbishment projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing high-quality refurbishments while ensuring performance consistency and adherence to best practices within your region and direct reports. Your duties will include end-to-end project management tasks such as property inspections, budget estimation, documenting scope, tendering, contractor engagement, and subsequent client-side management of contractors. You will maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, monitoring and assisting in client-side management of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of Regional Refurbishment Managers within the designated area, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
  • Establish and uphold high standards for the region through effective team management and leadership
  • Manage the restoration and refurbishment of units and apartments across several allocated sites, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure high-quality and timely project completion
  • Deliver restoration and refurbishment projects as part of the resale process with the end customer in mind
  • Create scope and specification documentation, distribute tenders, and assess tender submissions
  • E nsure safety and compliance of contractors and suppliers on site
  • Provide direction to contractors and consultants to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and that projects are delivered on time
  • Conduct EHS audits and Contractor onboarding processes
  • Achieve project goals, maintaining costs, standards, and ensuring refurbishment works are completed by settlement dates
Requirements
  • Experience in Project Management, preferably in residential fit-out/refurbishments and renovations
  • Current driver's license essential, weekly site visits required, with kilometers and tolls reimbursed
  • Technical or tertiary qualifications in Property Management, Project Management, or Business Studies desirable, or Cert IV Building & Construction with 5+ years Project Management experience desired
  • Outstanding organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a time-sensitive environment
  • Great communication skills and strong computer literacy
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to provide direction to contractors and consultants
  • Resilient, solution-focused, and capable of problem-solving amidst occasional time pressure and delivery deadlines
