About This Role:

  • As a Senior Manager in Operational Risk Advisory, you will collaborate with one of Australia's most renowned banking institutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk analytics and provide strategic guidance to the Consumer Bank and distribution network.

  • Maintain risk profiles for designated business units and contribute to developing risk strategies.

  • Conduct in-depth reviews of issues, assess inherent & residual risks, and their underlying impacts under current regulations.

  • Support 2nd Line Operational Risk in projects, initiatives, and embedding processes to Business As Usual (BAU).

  • Act as a trusted advisor to strengthen risk culture, provide insights on key risks, controls, metrics, and trends.

  • Document findings for management and committee reporting.

Skill Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Operational Risk and/or Compliance experience in Banking & Financial Services.

  • Practical risk advisory and partnering experience with the business.

  • Excellent communication skills to verbalise operational risk issues to senior stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with prudential and regulatory environments (APRA, NCCP Responsible Lending, Privacy Act, AUSTRAC etc.).

  • Ability to manage workload and drive process in a matrix working environment.
