About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Banquet Operations Manager to join our team at Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges. As a key member of our Conference and Events team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient running of all C&E within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of all C&E within the hotel.
  • Inventory management, stock ordering & departmental upkeep.
  • Directly coaching and training all staff with the aid of the created Banquet handbook.
  • Coordinating and running events as per the BEOs.
  • Liaising with both clients and vendors effectively.
  • Opening/closing procedures including cash up and reporting duties.
  • Establishing and enforcing SOPs and Sequence of Service for the department.
  • Ensuring service is executed to the highest standard while keeping staff motivated.
Requirements
  • Energetic, motivated and efficient at multi-tasking while working independently.
  • Minimum 1 year Banquet Operations experience.
  • Beverage and barista experience is highly desirable.
  • Honest, punctual, reliable and physically fit.
  • Able to work both autonomously and within a team.
  • Well groomed and professionally presentable.
  • Availability to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster when required.
  • Clear communicator – ability to speak, understand, read & write in English.
