Senior Laboratory Quality Assurance Officer

This is a challenging role for an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Environmental team in Springvale, Melbourne. As a key member of the laboratory quality systems team, you will be responsible for ensuring we maintain ISO17025 compliance and NATA accreditation.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality management or auditing, preferably in a laboratory setting. You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining quality management systems operating smoothly and in full compliance with ISO17025
- Leading audits and monitoring systems to ensure corrective actions are completed on time
- Partnering with laboratory teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement solutions
- Monitoring performance using statistical quality control and proficiency testing programs
- Updating and refining quality procedures, making sure all team members are trained and supported
- Coordinating responses to third-party audits and liaising with NATA as needed
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, as well as advanced MS Office skills with a knack for clear, accurate reporting. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement is essential.
