Job Description

Azooa is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a cutting-edge GitHub Copilot AI developer solution for the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

This three-year initiative will roll out GitHub Copilot Enterprise across ATO development teams, fully integrated into their secure Azure environment, and aligned with ASD ISM and PSPF compliance requirements.

The successful candidate will take the lead in planning, coordinating, and delivering a multi-workstream program with a focus on quality, compliance, and outcomes. This role involves direct engagement with internal ATO stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners across technical, security, change, and training streams.

  • Develop a master project plan with clear milestones
  • Establish program governance frameworks and reporting structures
  • Lead cross-functional delivery teams
  • Manage project budgets and financial reporting
  • Identify and escalate project risks and issues
  • Ensure full compliance with ATO ICT governance and security policies
  • Drive improvement by embedding lessons learned and delivery best practices
  • Oversee a seamless transition to Business As Usual operations

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years' ICT Project Management experience, at least 3 years leading delivery for Australian Government departments or agencies, and a proven track record delivering SaaS, AI-enabled, or cloud-hosted solutions in secure environments.

Key Skills:

  • Project management methodologies: PRINCE2, PMBOK, and Agile
  • Leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing vendors and subcontractors
  • Baseline or NV1 security clearance
