We are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Expert to oversee the implementation of our health, safety, and environmental systems across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving consistent implementation of policies, procedures, and practices that ensure a safe and environmentally conscious workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and implementing group HSES initiatives
  • Ensuring risk assessments and permits are up-to-date and used as necessary
  • Facilitating consultation and communication of HSES matters with stakeholders
  • Providing accurate HSES reports and documentation to management
  • Managing preventative and corrective actions to mitigate risks
  • Overseeing record keeping, documentation, and retention of HSES materials
  • Monitoring continuous improvement of policies, procedures, processes, and practices

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of OHS and Environmental legislation in Australia
  • Current Lead Auditor training certification
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology and its applications
  • Previous experience working in a large, multinational company or listed entity
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently from a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent report writing abilities
  • Data analysis skills and the ability to provide actionable insights

Qualifications include a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety. Desirable qualifications include a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Diploma in Environmental field.
