About This Opportunity

As a Rail Project Engineer, you will provide strategic input and oversight to pre-planning and construction delivery to achieve project objectives.

You will lead the project delivery process and drive completion of work in accordance with TfNSW requirements, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practice.

Your goal will be to deliver works that satisfy client objectives, manage site subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Define and fulfill UGLRL TAO obligations for construction in line with UGL procedures, TfNSW requirements, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practice.
  • TAO requirements and quality: review and arrange design approvals as construction progresses.
  • Accountable for all construction management to ensure projects meet specifications.
  • Accountable for design adherence or controlled changes in line with UGLRL procedures.
  • Define and implement quality assurance systems and processes required to fulfill TAO (construction) requirements. Act as technical representative and nominated signatory for hold and witness points.
  • Carry out tasks directed by line management in line with experience and skillset.

This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Structures), Chartered Engineering Status, working towards, or with intention to apply.

The successful candidate must have 3-7 years' postgraduate experience with 1+ years site-based, demonstrated delivery of minor/major projects to program and budget specifications in a leadership role.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Structures).
  • Chartered Engineering Status, working towards, or with intention to apply.
  • Rail Infrastructure Workers Card (RIW), plus relevant track access competencies.
  • NSW Construction Industry Safety Induction 'White Card.'
  • Current Class 1 (Minimum) Driving License.
