Job Title: Maintenance OfficerAbout This Role

At our residential aged care facility, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care and homely comforts to our residents. With over four decades of experience in this field, we have a deep understanding of the amenities and services that matter most.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain garden beds and lawn areas to ensure a beautiful outdoor environment
  • Perform routine reticulation maintenance and oversee contractors to guarantee efficient water usage
  • Procure maintenance services and equipment to meet the needs of our residents and staff
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Update records and manage stock for chemicals and equipment to prevent waste and ensure effective use
  • Identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks
Requirements:
  • A strong background in maintenance or gardening, with significant experience in related duties
  • The ability to perform tasks such as pruning, window cleaning, and fertilizing lawns with ease and efficiency
  • A comprehensive understanding of facility services and equipment relating to gas, water, and power
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a willingness to go above and beyond to assist residents and colleagues
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous experience working within a health or aged care organization
  • Trade qualifications in a relevant field, such as plumbing or electrical work
