Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

BAE Systems Australia is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Williamtown, NSW. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the success of our organisation.

Job Description:

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft systems, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards and in accordance with regulatory requirements. You will also be required to provide technical advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders, and to contribute to the development of maintenance procedures and guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and repairing aircraft systems, including emergency escape systems and egress systems;
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, including inspection, repair, and replacement of aircraft components;
  • Providing technical advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders;
  • Contributing to the development of maintenance procedures and guidelines;
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Armament or equivalent qualification;
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance and repair, preferably in a military or defence-related environment;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Australian Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain;
