Leading Academic Educator

This challenging position involves teaching students and developing instructional strategies to improve student learning outcomes. We are seeking a highly skilled educator with exceptional leadership abilities who can contribute to the school's vision of creating a collaborative community that promotes lifelong learning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating staff to implement initiatives aimed at improving teaching practices and student achievement. This may involve modelling, mentoring, coaching, and facilitating workshops to develop knowledge, skills, and professional engagement in others.

We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the broader school community. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum, have a proven track record of leading improvement initiatives, and demonstrate a commitment to supporting teachers in using data to inform their practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exemplary ability to monitor and assess student learning at a class, cohort, or whole-school level and use this data to lead improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate ability to support others in using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents
  • Demonstrate exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to lead collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the broader school community focused on student learning, agency, wellbeing, and engagement
  • Demonstrate ability to model behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values and support colleagues to adopt these behaviours and attitudes
