Job Overview

KU Children's Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Director to lead our KU Sunbeam Preschool team.

About the Role

The Service Director will be responsible for leading and managing a team of educators to provide high-quality early childhood education and care to children aged 2-6 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of educators to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care
  • Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of children and families
  • Manage and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children and staff
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and the community
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Participate in professional development and training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Australian working rights
  • At least 2 years of previous directing experience
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree
  • Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
