Job Opportunity: E-commerce Specialist

">About the Role

We are seeking an e-commerce specialist to support our online merchandising and promotional planning across multiple brands. This role works collaboratively with product, stock, marketing, and web design teams to maximise conversion rates, enhance product content, and drive online sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain merchandising standards that drive conversion and improve the customer shopping experience.
  • Effectively merchandise products to maximise upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Identify potential opportunities in product assortment based on knowledge of merchandise, sales, and customer behaviour.
  • Drive sales, conversion, and revenue by effectively merchandising products, helping customers navigate to the right products quickly and easily.
Maintaining Online Catalogue
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date online catalogue and ensure all products are ranged online as soon as they arrive into the business.
  • Ensure products are merchandised daily according to brand online merchandising principles.
  • Manage & merchandise markdowns and outlet products.
Liaising with Teams
  • Liaise with product teams to provide accurate and detailed descriptions and product information.
  • Collaborate with brands and web design team on the email marketing plan with the goal of optimising appeal and conversion.
Executive Skills
  • Execute promotional activities accurately and within deadlines to ensure websites are aligned with store activity.
  • Coordinate range updates associated with online promotions, competitions, and special offers to ensure websites are aligned with store activity.
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis on the best practices of key competitors and international e-commerce leaders.
  • Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports and understand drivers of Sales.
  • Present brand performance at daily trade meeting.
  • Monitor and understand analytics as a driver of merchandising.
About You

You will need previous experience in online or e-commerce, working knowledge of Excel, knowledge of retail industry and relevant KPIs, high level of accuracy and attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective time management and prioritisation skills, ability to easily adapt to changing priorities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key functions within the business, proactive, and has a sense of urgency.
