We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team within a Supported Disability Accommodation, focusing on enhancing the wellbeing of individuals with physical, developmental, or cognitive disabilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and care planning, delivering direct nursing care and reviewing cares using biopsychosocial models to optimise customers' independence.
- Providing coaching, guidance and supervision to personnel Carers, Assistant in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses, acting as a role model for practice and professional conduct.
- Maintaining adherence to Workplace Health and Safety, infection control, and safe work practices at all times.
- Preparing and submitting written and verbal reports on the social, physical and emotional wellbeing of residents to the Clinical Nurses/Assistant Manager, collaborating to achieve quality outcomes for residents.
To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:
- A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical nursing practice, with an understanding of contemporary nursing theory and care documentation models.
- Generalist registered nursing experience, preferably with knowledge of aged care.
- The ability to rapidly acquire a sound understanding of appropriate aged care legislated standards and incorporate them into daily practice.
- Relevant probity checks as required by legislation and policy.
- Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.
