The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Victorian Government's policy and legislative framework pertaining to Victoria's Aboriginal communities and experience in policy development and implementation.

Key responsibilities will include supporting DEECA's implementation of the Government's policy reform commitments, preparing detailed briefings for DEECA executives for intergovernmental forums and related working groups, and collaborating with DEECA managers and staff to achieve better outcomes for Traditional Owners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong cultural safety background, experience in policy development and implementation, and a positive and collaborative attitude.

This is an ongoing position with hybrid work arrangements available.
