Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

The role of Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist is a dynamic and rewarding position that enables individuals to make a positive impact on people's lives.

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with their recovery, return to work, and life following injury or illness. This may involve conducting assessments and case management services, as well as interacting and building relationships with health professionals, specialists, employers, insurers, and other key stakeholders.

  • Provide personalized support and guidance to clients to help them achieve their goals and overcome challenges.
  • Develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans that take into account the client's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to address these areas.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients in identifying and achieving their goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation plans that are tailored to the client's needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and updates to ensure that clients are meeting their goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Nursing, Rehabilitation Counselling, or Psychology.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in occupational rehabilitation or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
