Job Description

As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality rewind as per the instruction provided via the Job Ticket. You will also supervise and instruct the assigned Assistants ensuring they understand and follow FSC22000 and ISO processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain slitting equipment to produce high-quality rewind
  • Supervise and instruct Assistants on FSC22000 and ISO processes
  • Manage the implementation of HACCP and ISO policies
  • Ensure a smooth handover to the next shift
  • Report equipment faults and assist in their resolution
  • Manage systems and processes to reduce quality issues
  • Implement customer-specific quality requirements
  • Investigate and report on waste %'s and process improvements

Requirements

  • Previous slitting experience is essential
  • Experience within the packaging industry will be highly regarded
  • Technical aptitude and strong practical skills
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain good concentration
  • Motivation to remain educated and up to date with developments in the printing industry
