Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Slitter Operator to join our Dandenong South site, working on a diverse range of tasks in the process of print production, operating state-of-the-art equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality rewind products as per job instructions.
  • Supervise and instruct assigned Assistants on FSC22000 and ISO processes.
  • Implement and manage HACCP and ISO policies, ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure a smooth handover to the next shift.
  • Report equipment faults and assist in resolving issues.
  • Manage systems and processes to reduce quality issues from raw material to finished goods.
  • Implement customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Investigate and report on waste percentages and process improvements.
  • Follow work, safety, and procedural instructions from senior management.
  • Continuously improve processes.

Requirements

  • Previous Slitting experience is essential.
  • Experience in the packaging industry is highly regarded.
  • Technical aptitude and strong practical skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain good concentration.
  • Motivation to remain educated and up-to-date with industry developments.
