Psychiatric Crisis Responder

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in our Psychiatric Triage Service as a Specialist Mental Health Clinician.
The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge, skills and experience in the assessment and short-term treatment/support of mental illness.
They will be able to quickly and autonomously work within a multi-disciplinary team and provide specialist treatment/support of mental illness.
Key responsibilities include assessing and reviewing risk, completing a mental state assessment and determining the best response for the client in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills, a knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and an ability to type efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Relevant qualifications and current practicing registration (aligned to position description)
- Substantial experience in community-based assessment of people presenting with both acute and chronic mental health issues
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Australian working rights
- Access to Monash Health learning portals to further expand your acute clinical skills and knowledge base
- Avenues to develop leadership and project management skills
- Mentorship and career guidance
- Support to attend relevant forums and conferences
- Learning environment, should you wish to undertake postgraduate studies
