About the Opportunity

Australia Post is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications professional to lead our Business Unit Communications team. As a key member of the Communications Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in protecting and enhancing our reputation and social licence to operate.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing effective communication strategies, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving business outcomes. You will work closely with our Executive team to develop and implement communication plans that support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute communication strategies that support business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including Executive team members, Business Unit leaders, and external partners
  • Collaborate with the Communications Leadership Team to develop and implement communication plans
  • Provide strategic counsel to the Executive team on communication matters
  • Manage and coordinate communication activities, including events, media relations, and internal communications
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business, including our products, services, and customers
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Communications professional who is passionate about delivering business outcomes through effective communication. You will have a strong track record of developing and executing communication strategies, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving business outcomes.

You will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. You will also have a strong understanding of our business and be able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
