Key Technical Expert Role

This is a pivotal position for providing expert support to service delivery teams. The role involves guiding and influencing the development and implementation of technology solutions that align with organisational strategic goals.

  • Job Purpose: To provide expert technical advice and support to ensure all technology solutions are robust, sustainable, and meet organisational standards and long-term objectives.
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain technology designs and standards based on organisational IT strategy, roadmap, and architecture principles.
  2. Contribute to governance, assurance, and policy development for all organisational technologies.
  3. Evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate with architects and vendors to provide technical guidance.
  4. Provide expert technical advice to resolve complex incidents and support problem and request management.
  5. Maintain awareness of industry trends and commercial developments to inform advice and decision-making across the organisation.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in delivering technology solutions within complex environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with technology governance and assurance in medium to large organisations.
  • Proven ability to engage and manage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including experience mentoring and guiding developers and engineers.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a methodical and disciplined work style.
