Leadership Role: Associate Director

This position requires a seasoned professional to oversee various credit transactions with efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead investment analysis and transaction management teams of Analysts & Associates.
  • Negotiate terms for subordinated credit and complex credit investments, structuring them effectively.
  • Manage and lead deals in the execution and analysis of investments, including;
  • Ensuring accuracy in preparing transaction models.
  • Leading the preparation of transaction review papers and investment committee term sheets.
  • Assisting with presenting transaction proposals to the investment committee.
  • Reviewing and negotiating documentation, ensuring alignment with relevant approvals and investment best practices.
  • Managing the drawdown process for investments.
  • Reviewing and managing ongoing investment business plans, including monitoring performance.
  • Building and maintaining external stakeholder relationships throughout the deal life cycle, ensuring negotiated outcomes align with relevant approvals.
  • Providing timely and accurate fund, investor, and transaction reporting.
  • Contributing to the training and development of team members.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience across relevant disciplines in real estate gained in banking, private equity, advisory or investment management.
  • A tertiary qualification with a preference for related fields such as finance, commerce, construction, real estate, or legal.
  • Understanding of construction risks, documentation, and contract risks.
  • General understanding of taxation principles impacting investment decisions.
  • Ability to influence outcomes, motivate individuals, and persuade critical stakeholders.
  • Promoting a high-performing culture.
  • Developed written and quantitative skills, supplemented by excellent verbal presentation skills.
  • Maintaining internal and external networks.
  • Staying updated on critical real estate market transactions, investment environment, and industry regulatory changes.
  • Exercising sound judgement while working under pressure.
