About the Role:

The Cook is essential in enhancing the quality of life for residents by preparing delicious and nutritious meals. The role involves creating appetizing and balanced dishes while ensuring a positive dining experience that contributes to the overall health and well-being of our residents.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation: Prepare meals according to the menus established by the Head Chef, ensuring that they are nutritious, visually appealing, and tailored to the dietary needs of individual residents.
  • Special Diets: Adapt meals to accommodate special dietary requirements, including texture-modified diets, to meet the unique health conditions and preferences of residents.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure a clean kitchen environment.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring they meet high standards for taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
  • Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work collaboratively with other kitchen personnel to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

Skills & Experience:

  • Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
  • Adaptable, passionate, and eager to learn.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
