About the Role:

The Cook plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by preparing delicious and nutritious meals. This role involves creating appetizing and balanced dishes while ensuring positive dining experiences that contribute to the health and well-being of our residents.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Meal Preparation: Prepare meals in accordance with menus developed by the Head Chef, ensuring that dishes are nutritious, visually appealing, and tailored to meet the dietary needs of residents.
- Special Diets: Address special dietary requirements, including texture-modified diets, to accommodate the unique health conditions and preferences of residents.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure a clean kitchen environment.
- Quality Control: Oversee the quality of ingredients and finished meals, ensuring they meet high standards for taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work collaboratively with kitchen personnel to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
- Adaptable, passionate, and eager to learn.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
