Applied Scientist, Generative AI Innovator

We are seeking an exceptional Applied Scientist to join our Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Center team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Australia. As an Applied Scientist, you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge generative AI algorithms and solutions that address real-world challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to research, design, and develop innovative generative AI algorithms and solutions.
- Work closely with customer engagement teams to understand customer needs and adoption patterns for generative AI.
- Interact with customers directly to understand business problems and provide guidance on implementing generative AI solutions.
- Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations to technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform product direction.

- Master's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.
- Proven knowledge of deep learning and experience hosting and deploying ML solutions.
- Working knowledge of generative AI and hands-on experience in prompt engineering, deploying, and hosting large foundational models.
- Hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MXNet.
