Maintenance Requirements Determination Officer

About the Role
The Army Aviation Systems Branch is seeking a skilled Maintenance Requirements Determination (MRD) Officer to provide technical airframes-engines knowledge and advice. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders to deliver and exercise appropriate technical delegations in line with relevant legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation of the Australian Apache maintenance program.
- Conduct MRD assessments for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Undertake MRD assessments for technical tasks and reliability program items.
- Assess and implement maintenance policy changes.
- Execute the delegation of Maintenance Policy and Airworthiness (MPAE) in accordance with the Aviation Command (AVNCOMD) Capability and Maintenance Execution (CAME) framework.
- Certify decisions in Emerald2 (E2).
- Conduct NetMAARS Request Authorising Officer Review, Approve or Rejection.
About Our Team
The new Attack Helicopter Systems Program Office (AHSPO) Apache capability is designed to support the Joint Force of the late 2020s and beyond to fight and win the land battle. As the Attack Helicopter project is an emerging capability, the team, which comprises ADF, APS, and Contractor staff, is rapidly growing. The Team is currently split between Canberra, Brisbane, and Townsville. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-value, advanced Defence capabilities, whilst being rewarded with a professional, inclusive, and supportive team.
Our Ideal Candidate
The APS 5 MRD Officer will be an integral part of the emerging Attack Helicopter Systems Program Office (AHSPO). Our ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated recent experience in Maintenance Requirements Determination (MRD).
- The ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- The capacity to interpret and comply with Defence policies and procedures.
