The role of the Operations Support Specialist is to support Senior Product Managers by taking on forecast and planning responsibilities, backorder management, and operational aspects of product portfolios to directly contribute to the achievement of sales and gross profit targets.

You will ideally have an operations, supply chain, or planning background coupled with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and optimize product management operationally through forecasting and planning, inventory and backorder management, and product marketing collateral and asset management.
  • Represent each product portfolio in meetings to review inventory levels/targets, forecast accuracy, current backorders, and future potential stock outs.
  • Work with Product Managers to mitigate risk on backorders, inventory overstock, expiring stock to meet overall inventory target levels.
  • Communicate business risks associated with inventory and provisions to leadership and finance.
  • Proactively communicate stockouts and alternatives available to support customer needs within stockout periods.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Supply Chain.
  • Experience in operations or supply and logistics is essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated process development and management skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and innovative solutions.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
