Agribusiness Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Agribusiness Professional to join our high-performing team in Melbourne.

This is a diverse portfolio with both pre and post farm gate clients and some corporate size enterprises across a range of sub sectors including broadacre, beef cattle, poultry and dairy farming, grain and dairy exporters, food processing and manufacturing.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain exposure to Corporate Agribusiness, build up a broader knowledge of sub sectors and supply chain in Agribusiness and also exposure to different products through Trade and Working Capital solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of agribusiness customers.
  • Assess economic value and risk potential of new business opportunities.
  • Educate customers about their business options and provide sound advice on risk and opportunities for growth.
  • Proactively call on networks of contacts to help identify new business and referral opportunities.
  • Implement initiatives to support customer acquisition in your local market.
  • Maintain and enhance the credit risk profile and profitability of the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient high-quality customer service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Drive and tenacity.
  • Experience in all aspects of financial analysis.
  • Passion for relationship management.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar Agribusiness role preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of Agribusiness banking and/or credit assessment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business or related discipline.
