A leading home furnishings brand seeks a seasoned Visual Merchandising Director to spearhead visual strategy across multiple districts.

This high-impact role involves setting and executing the overall visual direction in alignment with company objectives, brand standards, and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate is both creative and operationally minded – someone who can elevate showroom presentation while driving results through effective leadership, training, and performance management of district teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide vision, direction, and leadership for visual merchandising and showroom design across all assigned districts.
  • Develop and implement regional visual merchandising strategies that support company initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and product rollouts.
  • Ensure consistency in showroom presentation, floor layout execution, lifestyle adherence, and visual storytelling across all stores.
  • Partner closely with corporate merchandising, marketing, operations, and store leadership to align regional visual execution with business objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of district managers, fostering professional growth and strong collaboration.
  • Conduct regular store and district visits to assess execution quality, ensure brand standards are met, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate store performance through sales metrics, visual audits, and guest feedback to inform merchandising strategies and team development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between field visual teams and the corporate office for communication, updates, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in visual merchandising, including 3+ years in a multi-unit leadership or regional role within the retail home furnishings or lifestyle category.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing district-level teams.
  • Strong creative eye with deep understanding of showroom layout, product staging, lighting, space planning, and storytelling.
  • Proven ability to align visual merchandising with broader business strategy and KPIs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and visual planning tools; ability to learn proprietary systems quickly.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Willing and able to travel regionally up to 80% of the time.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
