Job Description

This role offers a hands-on opportunity to support safety and wellbeing across various sectors, including Concrete, Cement, Aggregates, and Masonry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site audits, investigations, and risk assessments
  • Participating in key projects to strengthen the safety culture
  • Visiting operational sites regularly to support frontline teams
  • Building technical understanding of WHS legislation, systems, and culture change practices
  • Partnering with site leaders to improve safety performance
  • Identifying risks and implementing safety solutions
  • Working closely with the national Health and Safety team

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on proactive measures and be able to build effective relationships at all levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Health and Safety
  • A proactive mindset and strong communication skills
  • Confidence to build relationships at all levels
  • Motivation to learn and commitment to making a difference
  • Previous exposure to high-risk industries is highly regarded but not essential
  • A current driver's license
  • Basic proficiency in office systems
  • A White Card is helpful but not required immediately; support will be provided to obtain one if needed
  • Final year students or graduates within the last 18 months are eligible
