Job Title: Software Professional

As a key member of our Digital team, you will be instrumental in meeting business objectives within the mobile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will work collaboratively within a scrum team to design, develop, and support existing Blua mobile applications and feature teams.
  • Participate in identifying process improvements for mobile teams, particularly in the native iOS Swift domain.
  • Actively collaborate with and assist other members of the mobile team to successfully complete their activities, including mentoring and training, and at times leading development activities.
  • Provide analysis and technical expertise to assist in feature estimations for changes to Blua mobile application.
  • Participate in mobile scrum team ceremonies, such as daily-stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Undertake system analysis, solution, and technical design activities with high-quality documentation and realistic work estimates as deliverables.
  • Ensure proposed technical designs comply with application architectural principles.
  • Conduct coding activities that adhere to design specifications or feature criteria, using judgment and communication skills to adjust as needed.
  • Undertake manual and automated test activities to ensure unit test coverage and provide artefacts for audit compliance.
  • Ensure application deliverables meet quality requirements defined by the Quality Assurance area.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in an IT discipline is typically required.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification at degree level is essential.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in iOS native Swift Technologies is necessary.
  • Other experience with mobile development using languages such as Objective C, Java, Kotlin, or .Net Xamarin is highly regarded.
  • REST Services and Azure knowledge and experience are highly valued.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences, are essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and creatively solve problems is critical.
  • Proven ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment is necessary.
