This position is part of our ongoing commitment to excellence in education and research.

Lecturers/Senior Lecturers in Cyber Security (Technical) will contribute to the school's teaching, research and administration through course development and delivery, research outputs and higher degree supervision, quality assurance, industry engagement, student support, and other administrative duties aligned with school and faculty objectives.

The successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate technical expertise in cyber security and computer science, particularly in areas such as cryptography, secure systems, cloud computing, threat detection, digital forensics, ethical hacking, and data science.

  • A PhD in a related discipline, plus relevant work experience.
  • A good track record of research and publication and/or competitive research income in a chosen field.
  • Demonstrated currency in some of the above-listed technical aspects of cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching and learning design, development, delivery and pastoral care of students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with positive evaluation.
  • Experience using and designing with educational technologies and flexible delivery platforms.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and organisational communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work with and support students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience working with industries and professional bodies and applying work-integrated learning.
