Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Therapy and Learning Centre. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to children from the ages of 2-18 years, addressing their unique needs and promoting their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate a client's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional abilities against an appropriate developmental expectation.
* Collaborate with clients and their caregivers to set goals and targets to be achieved.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings, incorporating therapeutic exercises and other appropriate interventions to assist clients to achieve their goals.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams involved with the client such as physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, medical professionals, teachers, and caregivers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
* Provide ongoing monitoring and re-assessment of clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Educate and train parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals on appropriate techniques and strategies to promote carry-over of therapy goals into the child's daily life.

Requirements:

* Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
* Current Drivers Licence and own transport
* Working with Children Check
* National Police Check
* NDIS worker clearance
* CPR and First Aid Certificate

Preferred Requirements:

* Previous Occupational Therapy experience
* Specific skills required in management of fine motor development, sensory processing, visual perception, and motor planning skills
