This is a challenging yet rewarding role, requiring a high level of emotional intelligence, communication skills, and ability to work autonomously. As a Disability Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering personalized support services to clients, including community participation, skill building, vocational preparation, relationship building, and other needs.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in monthly team meetings, where you can share your experiences, learn from colleagues, and contribute to the development of best practices in the field.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a current NDIS Worker Screening or WWCC/Yellow Card Exemption, as well as relevant qualifications such as Cert III Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work, or similar. You will also require a reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle, a smartphone, first aid certificate, including annual CPR, and fully vaccinated for COVID 19.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver personalized support services to clients, including community participation, skill building, vocational preparation, relationship building, and other needs
- Respond to client needs and collaborate positively with their families, support people, and others in their lives
- Maintain accurate and complete records of activities via progress notes
- Attend and actively participate in monthly team meetings
- Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
**Requirements:**
- Current NDIS Worker Screening or WWCC/Yellow Card Exemption
