Our organization is seeking a skilled Mortuary Assistant to provide support services in the mortuary and laboratory settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support mortuary and autopsy services
  • Perform laboratory duties in Anatomical Pathology, including specimen registration, cytology preparation, and cleaning tasks
  • Assist with stock management and other duties as directed

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of post-mortem examination techniques and related Histology and Cytology laboratory tasks
  • Understanding of Australian Health Ministers' Advisory Council Subcommittee on Autopsy Practice - 'The National Code of Ethical Autopsy Practice'
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills for working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Attention to detail and time management skills

Qualifications:

  • No mandatory qualifications required
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
