Leadership Position in Transport Structures

This is a leadership position within the Australian transport structures team, focusing on technical leadership and contributing to the global Bridges and Structures Business Class.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading design teams, managing complex projects, and driving innovation within the team. A strong background in structural engineering is required, with experience in bridge design and project delivery primarily in Melbourne and Victoria.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and delivering design activities associated with transport structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, gantries, and tunnels
  • Providing hands-on technical leadership and direction, developing design criteria, calculations, plans, and specifications
  • Serving as a Proof Engineer in Victoria and leading teams executing proof engineering services
  • Managing the development of structural asset management deliverables including reports, drawings, models, and specifications
  • Collaborating closely with local, national, and global teams to leverage expertise and deliver integrated solutions

Requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered membership of Engineers Australia (Structures) and listing on the National Engineering Register
  • Registered Professional Engineer Victoria (RPEV)
  • Ability and commitment to obtain Proof Engineer pre-qualification from the Victoria Department of Transport and Planning
  • 20+ years of structural engineering experience focused on bridges and transport structures, with strong consulting and project delivery background primarily in Melbourne and Victoria
