A unique opportunity exists to work in a not-for-profit community owned health and human services organisation delivering on the unique health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
About the RoleThis position involves delivering comprehensive and holistic healthcare within the framework of the IUIH model of care to achieve improved health outcomes for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Culturally appropriate healthcare provision begins with rapport building and includes acute illness or injury, prevention, early detection, chronic disease management, care throughout the life span, health promotion, support for social-emotional well being and consideration of the social determinants of health.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to clients.
- Understand the principles of primary health care and work with a wide variety of professionals and the public as part of a team.
- Commit to a high level of quality management through use of quality management systems.
- Demonstrate clinic experience and implement medical/primary health care teams effectively planning and coordinating workload.
- Show competence in clinical software systems and other technology including telehealth software.
- Operate within Clinical Policy and Procedures at all times.
- Develop effective communication skills ensuring medical documentation is of quality.
- Cultivate productive working relationships facilitating cooperation, trust and respect guiding, mentoring and focusing on staff development.

Requirements- Demonstrated knowledge of the IUIH model of care.
