
Comprehensive Care Specialist

Providing comprehensive care to individuals with complex physical and mental health needs is a critical component of this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality support in a 2:1 ratio, ensuring the participant's well-being and safety.
The position involves various tasks, including bowel management, medication administration, PEG feeding, and manual handling duties such as showering, hoist transfer, wheelchair transfer, and personal care. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience in restrictive practices and complex behaviors.
Training will be provided by a Registered Nurse to equip the individual with the necessary skills and confidence to excel in this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Disability Support Work or relevant qualification (Cert IV)
- Experience working with complex health needs
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate required
- Manual handling training
- Participant transfer with hoists desired
- Driver's License and own vehicle required
- Personal Care experience required
- Current Blue & NDIS Worker Clearance Cards required
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate required
- NDIS Worker Orientation Modules or willing to obtain
- Covid-19 Infection Control Module or willing to obtain
