Comprehensive Mental Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care across all divisions of mental health nursing. The ideal candidate will work in varied settings, including community, inpatient, and acute units, providing case management, planning patient care, administering medication, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Acute Mental Health: Manage urgent mental health crises, stabilise patients, and coordinate with emergency services. Use crisis intervention skills to make a rapid impact during high-pressure situations.
- Inpatient Units: Deliver consistent, supportive care to individuals requiring more intensive mental health support. You'll manage daily assessments, administer medication, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help stabilise and rehabilitate patients on their path to recovery.
- Community Mental Health: Be a key resource for patients outside the hospital environment, offering case management, comprehensive assessments, and care planning. Your work in community settings allows you to build deeper connections, empower clients, and support them through their recovery journey.
- Qualifications: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in mental health nursing, particularly in case management.
- Communication: Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Transport: A valid driver's license for regional and remote roles.
- Flexibility: Willingness to commit to travel nursing contracts in regional/remote areas for at least 12 weeks.
