About Us

The Suicide Prevention Outreach Team is a NSW Health initiative that aims to reduce deaths by suicide and suicide attempts. Our team works holistically to provide recovery oriented, trauma informed, and evidence based rapid crisis support to people experiencing suicidality.

  • We engage in crisis response with internal or external agencies.

Patient advocacy and holistic non clinical support with a cultural focus are key components of our work. We also engage with the local Aboriginal community, leaders, people with lived experience, and Aboriginal support services to achieve better access to health services and better outcomes for Aboriginal people at risk of suicide.
