What does a Practice Manager role look like?

Our practice is at an exciting developmental stage, seeking a dynamic and motivated manager to make a real impact.

With a 2-veterinarian general practice hospital and great nurse-to-vet ratios, we maintain excellent patient care while providing opportunities for growth.

This role will be actively supported by an experienced team who want to work in a positive environment with high clinical standards.

As a Practice Manager, your objective is to create an environment where team members enjoy their work, excel in their roles, and delight clients.

You will lead and develop a growing team, identify and implement policies and procedures, coach and mentor, ensure capability and growth opportunities, and manage day-to-day operations.

  • Minimum of 5 years' management experience or 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership capabilities and understanding how to motivate for desired outcomes
  • Demonstrated coaching and team building skills
  • Strong work ethic with a professional and friendly manner
  • Demonstrated ability in human resources, including resolving complaints, mediation, and issues handling
  • Previous experience managing workforce planning and contributing to the success of our team
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and a desire to support continuous improvement
