Deputy Principal - School Culture & Inclusion

This role is a key leadership position within the school, focusing on fostering a positive culture that promotes student engagement, wellbeing, and academic success.

The successful candidate will lead the school's approach to Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), the House system, the student support framework, and First Nations education, ensuring every student has the support they need to reach their potential.

They will be responsible for overseeing student transition programs, building strong relationships with feeder primary schools to support a seamless transition into high school.

The Deputy Principal will contribute to the school's strategic direction and improvement agenda, model and promote the school's values and expectations, and collaborate with the Principal and Deputy Principal team to ensure a positive and inclusive school environment.

They will also lead student wellbeing initiatives and oversee the Organisational Health Plan to support staff wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of school culture and inclusion strategies
  • Oversee student wellbeing initiatives and programs
  • Collaborate with the Principal and Deputy Principal team to drive school improvement
  • Build strong relationships with feeder primary schools to support student transitions
  • Contribute to the school's strategic direction and improvement agenda

  • Strong understanding of student wellbeing and mental health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
