Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Electrical Design Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions, ensuring technical excellence, and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including circuit designs, wiring harnesses, and electrical panel assemblies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical production drawings and system block diagrams.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and processes, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on rolling stock or alternative energy.
  • Proven expertise in 3D modeling and drafting, with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Siemens NX, CATIA, or AutoCAD, with experience in Team Centre.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • CPEng or relevant membership to an engineering body is highly regarded.
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is highly regarded.

Location

This role is based in Brisbane, QLD, or New South Wales, with the possibility of relocation for the right candidate.
