Project Officer Role

We are seeking experienced and skilled project officers to join our team in leading and coordinating projects across a large, complex organisation.

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, and deliver meaningful change for stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assist in project management activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
  • Develop and manage project plans and schedules in accordance with organisational frameworks.
  • Provide advice and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
  • Perform research and analysis, including preparing reports on relevant project activities.
  • Draft written materials, including business cases, executive briefs, and corporate documentation.
  • Monitor project budgets, review and report on expenditure, and assist with procurement and contract management.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and benefits.
  • Contribute to quality management to ensure deliverables meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project and business outcomes.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project artefacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
  • Experience initiating, establishing, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Ability to apply judgement to resolve issues and make informed decisions.
  • Understanding and application of privacy and accessibility guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Planner).
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to changing requirements.
