Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients, including cost estimates, commercial management, variation and claims management, and monitoring project budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Planning and Estimating: Develop cost plans and project capital estimates through the design phase, delivering updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
- Commercial Management: Prepare cost reports and estimate packages, and regularly present to stakeholders.
- Value Engineering: Provide commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
- Project Management: Deliver quality work and position for new opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Work proactively with minimal supervision and lead junior team members.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Quantity Surveying or related degree, with Defence clearance or Australian Citizenship as minimum.
- Experience: >5 years' experience in cost management, with AIQS or RICS membership ideal but not essential.
- Skills: Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills, with experience preparing cost management estimates and reports.
- Additional Requirements: Experience with advising clients on value management, and value engineering, with good organization skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.
