Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager with Turner & Townsend, you will have the opportunity to work with world-class clients on cutting-edge projects and build a successful career with a company that offers the highest levels of support at every stage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively and efficiently lead capital projects.
  • Employ proven project management skills to plan, monitor and document tasks throughout a project.
  • Take responsibility for key functional aspects within the project, including scope, risk, cost, schedule and quality.
  • Put safety at the heart of project delivery. Safety comes first, always.
  • Day-to-day management of projects through the complete life cycle, including successfully implementing from initiation through deployment and handover into operations.
  • Work within multi-disciplinary teams of professionals to deliver targeted project outcomes, while fostering a collaborative and communicative project culture.
  • Manage different forms of contract, ensuring compliance with contract terms, processing of payments and managing change.
  • Employ a sound understanding of procurement in projects, tendering preparation and management, bid assessment and contract award for contractors and/or professional services.
  • Prepare reports and communicate project progress to a range of stakeholders, including schedule/milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, and promote appropriate actions to improve project outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful as a Senior Project Manager, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5+ years working in a project management role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Recognised project management qualification is essential (AAPM, APM, PMI, PRINCE2, MSP) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in the infrastructure, aviation, real estate and/or construction sector.
  • Experience in aviation is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in on-site contractor management.
  • Experience operating at various stages in the project lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of engineering and design in delivery, as well as a solid understanding of safety practices in project delivery.
  • Contract administration and management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, superannuation and annual leave.

Location

This role is based in Sydney, Australia, with opportunities to work on projects across Australia and internationally.
