About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications professional to join our team as an Assistant Director Communications. This is a key leadership role that will involve leading and managing a team of Communications and Senior Communications Officers, as well as developing and implementing a range of communications strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Communications and Senior Communications Officers to deliver high-quality communications outcomes.
  • Develop and implement a range of communications strategies and initiatives to engage with stakeholders and promote the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on communications matters and develop and implement communications plans to support business objectives.
  • Manage all communication channels, including social media, email, and traditional media.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government, and community groups.
  • Provide ongoing support to the events team and manage the development of ministerial briefs, presentations, speeches, summary reports, and website content.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Communications professional who has a strong track record of delivering high-quality communications outcomes. You will have previous leadership and management experience, as well as extensive experience working in communications, marketing, or events. You will also have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.

What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of $75-$90 per hour, plus super.
  • A temporary assignment with a duration of 4-6 months.
