Job Description:

The role of Ward Clerk involves providing exceptional front-line ward service to the department, ensuring prompt handling of enquiries regarding patient welfare, and maintaining accurate patient data on relevant systems.

Key responsibilities include directing visitors/relatives, ensuring good public relations, and participating in the development, maintenance, and updating of administrative procedures and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of office operations and procedures.
  • Good working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Skilled in using Windows and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) with previous experience in administrative roles.
  • Ability to provide guidance to management and staff while maintaining integrity and confidentiality in sensitive matters.
  • Convey complex issues clearly, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
  • Handle situations involving staff and patients with sensitivity and understanding.
