Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our team at headspace Centres. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the central point of communication, providing exceptional secretarial and reception services to our clients, clinical staff, and management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide superior level of secretarial and reception services to clients, clinical staff, and management team
  • Manage medical reception duties, including taking incoming calls and directing callers to the appropriate staff member
  • Schedule appointments and maintain client records
  • Perform general office duties, including opening and distributing mail, typing, scanning, filing, and archiving
  • Assist in closing and securing the building at the end of the day
  • Typing of medical letters to clinical team members
Requirements
  • Cert III in Medical Administration or similar qualification
  • Excellent administration, time management, and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the health/NFP sector with ability to liaise with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Proven record of working closely with and being a successful member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Well-developed customer service skills
  • Ability to think and act calmly and deal sensitively with distressed people
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy, and confidentiality
  • Good availability and eligibility to apply/currently hold a WWCC
  • NDIS worker screening clearance
  • Current unencumbered driver's license
