Water Quality Specialist Position

This role is open to highly skilled professionals who will be responsible for the collection and analysis of water samples from various sources.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting water samples in accordance with Australian Standards, including potable water, waste water, sewage water, soil, and hygiene, for testing against regulatory guidelines such as the Australian Drinking Water Guideline.
  • Performing field tests to ensure results meet water quality acceptance criteria and reporting anomalies immediately to the project coordinator.
  • Preparing daily field reports and submitting them within 24 hours of sampling.
  • Maintaining and calibrating all sampling and field equipment.
  • Performing required QC checks and collecting QC samples as requested.
  • Arranging field consumables, sampling media, and equipment as required for each job.
  • Preparing Job Safety Analysis' (JSA's) and risk assessments as required for each allocated job.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field, with demonstrable technical skills within the mining sector. Previous experience as a Field Sampling Technician and customer service skills are also essential. A C-class manual license and Senior First Aid certification are required.
