Supply Chain Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Director to lead our diverse team of up to 40 personnel across multiple sites in Tasmania and the Australian Antarctic Program. The successful candidate will possess extensive industry experience in supply chain, operations, warehousing, manufacturing, or logistics management.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Representing Supply Chain Operations across internal and external stakeholder groups, including agencies, regulators, logistics providers, and more.
  • Driving continuous improvement and uplift of people, processes, physical assets, and systems.
  • Anticipating and establishing priorities for the Supply Chain Operations section in support of seasonal objectives.
  • Providing strategic advice and direction relating to the Supply Chain Operation's capabilities and capacities.

The ideal candidate should have a results-focused approach to managing performance, priorities, progress, and responsibilities. They should also possess well-developed interpersonal skills in building and developing relationships and influencing a broad range of stakeholders.

Apart from technical expertise, we require strong leadership skills to build a psychologically safe environment, support career development, and manage performance constructively.
